Studied different religion origins in a secular college, learned the most accurate is the church that all the other religions all came from. The Catholic church. :)

Because it was the FIRST church (founded by Jesus in 33 AD). Because the rituals and traditions don't "change with the times." Because I want to be the most accurate as I can be. I am Catholic. I love everyone who worships our God though in any way or any religion. And even the non-religious I pray for and love. ♥

Remember to be tolerant of others who don't share your beliefs though, and never say rude things to others or be envious and spiteful. Be happy with YOU and find your beliefs. :)

Note: I hate Catholic bashers or those who spew the 'myths' of Catholics all the time. I also will stand up for your faith in Christ even if you are not Catholic. I also cannot stand "Catholics" who preach things directly against the Church, no one is making you claim to be Catholic... You make the rest of us look silly lol.

St. Nicholas...Santa Claus

The concept of the American Santa Clause originated with St. Nicholas, who was born in Asia Minor in the second half of the third century.  he was known as a kind, benevolent man and made a saint because of his generosity.  in honor of St. Nicholas, December 6th became the traditional day in Europe for the exchange of Christmas gifts and the beginning of the holiday season.  Dutch immigrants to the United States brought with them their version of the gift-giving St. Nicholas, known as "Sinter Klas." American, unaccustomed to the Dutch pronunciation, turned this into "Santa Clause," who is beloved as a symbol of Christmas by children of all ages.

Advent

The word Advent is from the Latin means "Coming" and is associated with the four weeks of preparation of Christ.

A Whole New Me

My 3 years old niece blunt told me "hair cut"
My life changed!

I read many books and sources about Single - "How to find Mr. Right" and more.  I read men prefer women with long hair.
The more I let my hair grow, the more no man come to me.  I ended up look like this.

I let Holy Spirit's guidance me to a good man.
So I chopped my long hair off.

Want your feet to smell fresh? Tea is a natural astringent and the tannic acid will help kill bacteria. Soak your feet in black tea for great results.

After you shampoo, rinse your hair with a glass of green tea mixed with some lemon juice. Leave the rinse in for silky, smooth hair.

Help ease the discomfort of an insect bite or razor burn by placing the moist green tea bag over the area. The tea properties will reduce itching and swelling.

The ritual of tea is the perfect complement for your time of prayer and mediation.

Tea comes to the aid of puffy eyes. Boil water and put two black tea bags in. Brew for five minutes, remove the bags, and press out the liquid. Place the bags in the freezer for ten minutes. Lie down and place the cooled tea bags over your eyes for ten to fifteen minutes. The eye area will look refreshed. Warm tea bags can also be used.

Month of May

By tradition, the Catholic Church dedicates each month of the  year to a certain devotion.  In May, it is the Blessed Virgin Mary.  This devotion arose among Jesuits in Rome in the late 18th century and quickly spread throughout the Western Church.  By the time of Pope Piux IX's declaration of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception in 1854, it had become universal.  May crownings and other special May events in honor of Mary, such as public recitation of the rosary, stem from this time. 

May, Month of Mary

  As May was the month of Mary, our Blessed Mother, and June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, does it not follow that as May leads into June, Mary leads us to her the love of her Son, symbolized by His Sacred Heart.

Easter

Throughout the years of his active ministry, Jesus revealed the divine power at work in him through earthly parables and shared meals.  After his Resurrection from the dead, the disciples came to recognize him in the stranger who spoke to them of the Scriptures along the way when he broke bread with them.  In these post-Resurrection days, Jesus wants us to know him in the same way.  Every Mass follows the same pattern: we hear God's wisdom in the Liturgy of the Word; we taste God's love in the Liturgy of the Eucharist.



We continue to celebrate Easter.  I feel so special that Jesus gave his life for me.  My challenge now is what I can do for Him after he paid such a price for me to have the opportunity to go to heaven.  have you thought about what you might do?

Alexander Wilson flew a kite train to record air temperatures at different altitudes.

Ben Franklin proved there was electricity in lightning.

George Cayley developed the concept of heavier-than-air flight. His glider was a modified arch top kite.

George Pocock used kites to pull a horseless carriage.
1847
A kite flown by Homan Walsh, age 10, aided in the construction of a suspension bridge across the Niagara River.
1893
The Eddy Diamond and the Hargraves Box raised scientific instruments for weather research.
1899
The Wright Brothers used kites to test their theories for the first flying machine (airplane).
1901
Guglielmo Marconi used a kite to lift an aerial to make his historical radio link between North America and Europe.

The French Military (Conyne) Kite raised military observers.
1903
The Wright Brothers flew the first manned flying machine. A kite train towed S.F.Cody across the English Channel.

Domina Jalbert designed the parafoil. His concepts have been adapted for parachutes and kites.

Peter Powell introduced his dual line stunt kite.
1978
Kuzuhiko Asaba flew 4,128 kites on a single line.
1989
Kite flying becomes a sport with the establishment of a National Stunt Kite Circuit. The "California Swept Wing" Stunt Kite has had the greatest influence on stunt flying.
