National Ice Cream Day
3rd Sunday in July every year, July 20th
On
July 23, 1904, Charles E. Minches of St. Louis, Missouri, came up with
the idea of filling pastry one with two scoops of ice cream, thereby
inventing the ice cream cone. The walk away cone made its debut later
that year at the St. Louis’s World Fair.
